about

During the recent bushfires this song was found in an old alien songbook.

Originally written in the wake of the Howard government's refusal to endorse the Kyoto protocols in 1997, it seemed the future had caught up with us and now only the names of the culprits had been changed...

The song seemed to have become more relevant than ever and so we have quickly rearranged and recorded it for you.

Of course events have moved quickly on and all of us are now facing another existential threat and we wish everyone everywhere all well with that.

Yet the other perhaps greater existential threat still looms in the background unresolved and neglected and getting worse.
So perhaps this song is more urgent than ever?

What a world we are living in!

We wish you well.

With love to everyone

Kyoto ‘97 Revisited

Burning world.. burning wheels…

Burning world your ashes in Kyoto
Burning world crying through the clouds
Dry oh baby the world outside it’s thirsty
Ashes for rain crying through the clouds

The sky is bruised even where the sun shines through
Oh rain it seems the weatherman was wrong
And little Scotty Nero goes back to bed
Saved instead by another rainy day
While the whole world outside burns down…..

Burning leaves- oh baby like grains of steel and swallow
Burning Earth – now even Noah dreams of rain
Burning world- oh baby the world outside it’s glowing
Rain we pray before the air is gone
The sky is bruised even where the sun shines through
Oh rain it seems the weatherman was wrong
So little Donny Zero has gone back to bed
Saved again by another rainy day
While the whole world outside burns down…..

Burning world.. burning wheels…
Burning world....
